What’s a tribe?
A tribe is any group you connect with in which you have similar interests, desires and activities. The group you play basketball with, workout with, read books with, your Sunday school group, the group you hunt, fish, bike, run or go to the movies with are examples of tribes.
The Mission
Our mission is to connect your tribe with a global tribe to make a long-lasting humanitarian and spiritual impact. As followers of Jesus, we believe that in order to be obedient to the Great Commission, we must connect the local to the global. Because of technology today we have countless opportunities to impact the world.
The world has become smaller. More connected. And Tribal Connection is your opportunity to “Go and Make Disciples of all nations…”
In David Platt’s new book, “Radical”, he suggests that if we could just give 2% of our time (roughly one week) to changing our context and bringing the Gospel to the world, it would revolutionize the other 98% of our time. We agree and believe that if you would spend 2% of your time (again, roughly one week) to connect your local tribe with a global tribe, it would make a radical difference in the other 98% of your year.
This is what Stuart Hall calls Discipleism. Our mission is not to just go and not to just make disciples. Our mission, (The Great Commission), is to “Go and make disciples”. Glocal Discipleism.
Our desire is to be a part of something far bigger than ourselves.
Our desire is to see a movement of people connecting their local tribe(s) with The Peninsula in Nicaragua.
Our desire is to see people who care enough to commit 2% of their time this year to make a difference in the eternity of others located on The Peninsula in Nicaragua.
