Bottled water

Americans spent $15 billion on bottled water last year when most of us have access to safe, pure, almost free tap water.*

One billion people have no reliable source of drinking water and 3,000 children a day die from diseases caught from tainted water.*

As Christians what should our response be?

Most American Christians live in a "perfect world" where everything they need or want is readily available. It's kind of like the old "out of sight out of mind" saying. In the majority of churches people are just not made aware of this great need. God bless the churches that seek to provide that "cup of cold water in my name...(Jesus)."
I live and serve in Mexico where water is a major life issue. Children and elderly are dying from contaminated drinking water. I have experienced dysentery, amoebas, etc and know first hand of this great necessity.
