Crocs! What is that?

In our villages, the people are not familiar with this Word, crocodiles for them, are only in the few pictures they have seen.  They know they are good swimmers and that they cannot make it in the mountains. When we explain that  also is the name used for a kind of shoes that are special to walk in the mud, and to do other activities, they say;  "It would be good to have a pair of them, but; has to be very expensive… we cannot afford to wear them even if we like!"

We keep on talking and when mention that there is the possibility to get thousands of them and free! They said; "Can that be possible?"

It is very common to think this way, they know that somebody has to pay, or there will be nothing… when Extreme Missionary Adventures  send the word about the possibility to make this project real… we  got excited!  Just to think, in the many people that will be benefited, many who have never used more than a pair of rubber boots… this is just great!

Can that be possible?  Is the question that all need to answer … how?  Is the other question! We already started with the first thing to do… pray, and knock doors, that need to be opened to get the special permission to import the shoes duty-free… we trust the Lord will do it

The how, depend on how many people would like to be involved on this. If we all do what the Lord put in our heart to do, this will be possible, and the how will be done by putting together what is necessary, to pay for the shipping of the shoes to Olanchito.

Shoes, for the people in the mountains, will make a big change in their life. Many children will have better health, most of the parasites they get are got for being bare foot… they walk over the pigs excrement, chicken, dogs, cows, they just cannot avoid being infected by themselves, they cannot afford to buy shoes to protect their feet, they are depending on those who have the heart and the love to help, to make this possible. 

Let us join together to take shoes to the mountains, villages and towns,

Let us pray together and act together. The people, the very poor, will see that there is nothing impossible when we are touched by our Lord.

Shoes! A simple word that for many people means a lot!
