October 20-27 Honduras Group

We have a large group from First Baptist Church of Lubbock who will be working in Honduras the week of October 20-27.  They will be based out of the Olanchito area and will be divided into various teams which will be hiking out into the villages, building a tabernacle in the prison, and working with the kids in the childcare center.  Please pray for God to use this team in a mighty way!

I just got a phone call from Terry Parks, one of the team leaders for the large group in Honduras this week. He said that everyone is doing well and having a great time. He is working with the VBS group and he said they’ve had a great time with the kids so far. They are planning to do a session with the kids at the Childcare Center at Bethany tonight. The construction team has made good progress and is almost finished with the tabernacle in the prison at Olanchito. The pastor training team has had a good turnout for the training sessions with about 75 pastors in attendance. They haven’t heard anything from the hiking team but that’s to be expected. Please continue to pray for this team to have a safe and productive week!

I just made a phone call to Marlon to check in on him as he was returning from the Olanchito mountain trip. He said he had a great time serving in the mountains and he saw some of his brother and sisters in Christ that he has served with before. I have been praying for this team and it is good to hear news of the work all of you did during your week in Honduras.
