10 Days Before

Extreme Courage

This is the daily reading your volunteer will be focused on today.

Psalm 27: 1-3

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—

whom should I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

of whom should I be afraid?

2 When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh,

my foes and my enemies

stumbled and fell.

3 Though an army deploys against me,

my heart is not afraid;

though a war breaks out against me,

still I am confident.

As I travel around the world to take the Good News to those who have not heard, people ask “Aren’t you afraid to go to some of these places?”

A missionary came to my church years ago and he talked about bullets bouncing off the walls around him as the country was at war.  His response was “There is no safer place to be if you are in the center of God’s will for your life.”  This has stuck with me through all my travels.  When you stay in touch with God and follow the direction of the Holy Spirit, why should you be afraid?  The time to be afraid is when we are disobedient to what God is calling us to do.

Have faith, be obedient, and follow Gods will for your life and He will take care of you.

Prayer Prompt

Pray for your volunteer to prepare his/her heart to travel to the remote places to share the Good News.
