What are XMA Senders?
Not every Christian can go on an XMA trip, but all are called to fulfill the Great Commission. Paul in Romans 10:14 asks us three questions:
1. How can they call on the one they have not believed in?
2. How can they believe in the one they have not heard?
3. How can they hear without someone preaching to them?
That's why we need Senders -- people like you who support Goers. As an XMA Sender you are truly a partner in everything we do, a co-worker alongside every XMA volunteer as they serve the unreached in Christ's name. We simply cannot be Goers if we do not have Senders backing us with prayer and financial support!
For every XMA Goer sent:
1+
comes to know Christ
7
receive God's word
10+
receive medical, dental,
or eye care
8
are discipled
17
see an evangelistic film
41
are served

Want to support a specific missionary as they venture out to the unreached people? Below are our trip leaders and in-country missionaries who are currently in the field. They have sacrificed careers and comforts in order to prioritize the mission of the Gospel. Through your financial support, they are equipped to be part of God's work. You supply the "fish and loaves," and God will multiply!
*Protecting the identities of our missionaries is vital to their ministry and safety. For this reason, some of them are turned away in their photo!
Terry & Denise Parks
Terry Parks is the Board President of XMA and one of our longest serving trip leaders. After going on his first XMA trip in 1996, Terry felt the Lord's calling to full-time missions, and in 2006 joined our team full time as a trip leader. Terry and his wife, Denise, regularly lead trips to Nicaragua and have invested in partnerships there for the last seventeen years.
When Terry is not in Nicaragua you can find him serving others through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. They have one son and four grandchildren. When they are not on the field, they reside in Monroe, LA.
Kate
Kate is our resident Carmen San Diego at XMA - we are always wondering where in the world she is. For the last decade, Kate has built partnerships spanning the globe and regularly leads teams and individuals on trips to North Africa, Honduras, Iceland, SE Asia, and Spain.
Kate's travels take her to many countries and doors open for her to meet many people. Pray for her as she seeks long-term, US-based partners who would like to join her in these areas.
Jennifer & Osmany Hernandez
Jennifer and Osmany Hernandez have served in Honduras since 2002, and live there with their five children. They lead the New Life Project, Bethany Medical Clinic, and a missionary training school. Pray for the Hernandez family as they raise their family, reach the lost, and work to educate and encourage the village of Pane. Specific prayer needs include financial support for their programs, as well as health concerns for Jennifer.
Todd Flowers
Serving in Zimbabwe, Dr. Todd Flowers has been a volunteer trip leader since 2018 supporting our national partners there. Todd's family includes his wife and two daughters. Dr. Flowers has a family medical practice in Bossier City, LA, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. They are seeking prayer for the Lord to continue to open doors for him to travel and share the Gospel in Zimbabwe.
David
David, his wife and two children live and work out of Houston, Texas. Their passion for sports and the gospel has led David and his family to start a ministry that serves coaches all over the world. They have incorporated discipleship into a fitness platform and currently train people from their home on the local level and travel to hold formal fitness coaching courses. David and his family have been on staff with XMA since 2009.
Rebeca
Rebeca is the oldest daughter of Osmany and Jennifer Hernandez, longtime XMA staff members working in Honduras. Rebeca recently graduated from high school and has been called to missions herself. She is currently pursuing a degree in education through Liberty University’s online program. In addition to this, she is working fulltime at Tiny Hope Primary Christian School in Siguatepeque where she teaches English and art classes to children living in extreme poverty. Working in partnership with XMA will allow her to focus on the work God has called her to do at Tiny Hope as well as her own education, while also providing opportunities for her to learn important skills necessary for life in fulltime ministry.
Your generosity can meet practical needs through XMA’s ongoing ministry projects. Help provide education and medical care, rest and renewal for ministry workers, reading glasses for remote communities, or AudiBibles for those waiting to hear God’s Word in a language they understand. Explore these opportunities and choose where you would like to make a difference.
Testimonials
XMA is the only non-profit my family supports, outside of our local church. XMA has done, and will continue to do, great work around the world.

My schedule doesn’t allow me to get in the field, however, I am grateful that I am able to support the mission through extreme missionary adventures. I know many of the employees personally and I am confident in their work to bring people all over the world the Good News. They do amazing work in being the hands and feet. I encourage anyone looking for a great adventure with a greater purpose to check out XMA, or if you are like me and unable to get in the field consider one of the many options they have to support them financially.
