What is XMA?
XMA is a team of missionaries, full-time trip leaders, and stateside support personnel who work together for one common goal - to spread the Gospel to all nations. We recruit, equip, and train volunteers to venture to various areas around the world, and we seek to partner with churches and individuals to aid them in knowing Christ and making Him known.
For every 1 XMA volunteer
who has served:
24 people heard the gospel
8 believes were discipled
1 unreached person accepted Christ
XMA has supplied:
1,644 people with medical treatment
1,073 people with fitted glasses
OUR CORE BELIEF
The Holy Bible, God’s infallible written word, is the exclusive foundation of our beliefs. There is one true God, eternally existing as the trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God became flesh through Jesus Christ to save mankind from their sins. Human nature is as filthy as dirty rags, and every person is in need of salvation.
DEPLOYING THE BODY
XMA organizes and sends groups and individuals on Extreme Missionary Adventures to areas where we have strong partnerships with local churches, pastors, and missionaries.
SERVING WITH GOD'S LOVE
"Love XMA! They are tackling some of the hardest to reach places with the love of God. This ministry is a beautiful picture of the servant heart of Christ."
- Ashley R.
*Protecting the identities of our missionaries is vital to their ministry and safety. For this reason, some of them are turned away in their photo!

Marlene and her husband have one daughter and live in West Monroe, LA.
Terry & Denise Parks
Terry Parks is the Board President of XMA and one of our longest serving trip leaders. After going on his first XMA trip in 1996, Terry felt the Lord's calling to full-time missions, and in 2006 joined our team full time as a trip leader. Terry and his wife, Denise, regularly lead trips to Nicaragua and have invested in partnerships there for the last seventeen years.
When Terry is not in Nicaragua you can find him serving others through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. They have one son and four grandchildren. When they are not on the field, they reside in Monroe, LA.
Randy Pierce is the previous Executive Director of XMA and has been a key part of the organization since 1997. As Randy enters his next phase of ministry with XMA he is focused on helping others know Christ through contemplative prayer. Randy leads PrayerReach.org, a ministry of XMA, and actively encourages our staff, volunteers, and churches in the ministry of prayer.
Randy and his wife, Jane, have two daughters, four grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson. They reside in Start, LA.
& Graphic Designer
Carly is XMA’s in-house graphic designer. She also handles the administrative side of the business, allowing trip leaders to focus on ministry projects. She first volunteered with XMA in 1998 and has been on staff since 2005. Carly and her husband, Jason, have four sons and one grandson and live in Start, LA.
Garrison is the marketing coordinator for XMA. His degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in communication studies and MDiv from Southwestern Seminary as well as over ten years working in churches and para-church ministries make him the perfect fit for this position. Garrison and his wife, Braiden, have two kids and reside in Shawnee, OK.
Kate is our resident Carmen San Diego at XMA - we are always wondering where in the world she is. For the last decade, Kate has built partnerships spanning the globe and regularly leads teams and individuals on trips to North Africa, Honduras, Iceland, SE Asia, and Spain.
Kate's travels take her to many countries and doors open for her to meet many people. Pray for her as she seeks long-term, US-based partners who would like to join her in these areas.
Jennifer & Osmany Hernandez
Jennifer and Osmany Hernandez have served in Honduras since 2002, and live there with their five children. They lead the New Life Project, Bethany Medical Clinic, and a missionary training school. Pray for the Hernandez family as they raise their family, reach the lost, and work to educate and encourage the village of Pane. Specific prayer needs include financial support for their programs, as well as health concerns for Jennifer.
Lucy joined XMA full-time in 2010. After several years of work in Honduras, she has been serving in North Africa for the last several years. She works as administrator of a language and cultural center in-country.
Ministry there is different than in other places – they don't have houses to build, wells to dig, or opportunities to share the Gospel in large groups of people. She and her team sow seeds of the Gospel broadly and focus on building relationships that lead to discipleship.
Serving in Zimbabwe, Dr. Todd Flowers has been a volunteer trip leader since 2018 supporting our national partners there. Todd's family includes his wife and two daughters. Dr. Flowers has a family medical practice in Bossier City, LA, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. They are seeking prayer for the Lord to continue to open doors for him to travel and share the Gospel in Zimbabwe.
David, his wife and two children live and work out of Houston, Texas. Their passion for sports and the gospel has led David and his family to start a ministry that serves coaches all over the world. They have incorporated discipleship into a fitness platform and currently train people from their home on the local level and travel to hold formal fitness coaching courses. David and his family have been on staff with XMA since 2009.
Eli serves in the Middle East, among other places. He has a heart for people living in hard places, particularly those affected by war and conflict. After living overseas for four years, Eli and his family have recently transitioned back to the United States.
They are seeking prayer for their continued transition and are also in need of financial partners to support their ongoing mission, like Paul going on his second and third missionary journeys. Additionally, they are seeking prayer for more groups of local believers who consistently meet together to study God's word and encourage each other.
