Fall Journey - Terry Parks
Fall gave us another opportunity to travel to Nicaragua with a team from Long Hollow Baptist Church. Two fathers, Andrew and Carlos, each with their sons, Bauer and Jeremiah, traveled in late September. Our focus for this trip was to check on three church plants and small sanctuaries that were constructed in the spring of 2021. Travel during that time was complicated and faithful donor support was provided to purchase the construction materials. Each of the churches are strategically located in areas of growing villages where members have been meeting in a house church for an extended time.
The church in Palo Prieto (Mount of Olives) is growing with a membership of about 40, the church in El Corosal (Jesus the Good Pastor) is growing rapidly with over 50 baptized believers and by the end of this year will be commissioned as a independent church, and lastly in Los Herrera (Hosanna) the church is growing as well.
We were able to share and pray with the pastors and spend some time of fellowship. We also visited with the local families and enjoyed some children's activities. Each evening we presented an evangelism film inside the structures for the communities. It was amazing to see these churches firsthand and minister together. Continue to pray as these small churches continue to reach their communities with the Gospel.
